Church

Our services are designed to be a gathering for worshipping and praising God, giving thanks to our Father-Mother for all our blessings. It is a place to come for inspiration and new ideas.

The Church of Christ, Scientist has no personally ordained ministry. In 1895, Mary Baker Eddy, its Founder, ordained the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as the only Pastor of this church. The worship service is conducted by Readers who are elected lay members serving in this holy work for a limited period of time.

Sunday Service and Sunday School starts at 11am

Our Sunday service includes Scriptural readings, hymns, the Lord’s Prayer, an uplifting solo, the Lesson-Sermon from our Pastor (consisting of readings from the Holy Bible and correlative citations from the Christian Science text book) and a benediction. No one preaches to the congregation. In fact, the sermon is available for individual study before and after the service. A private free-will offering is taken at this service only. ALL ARE WELCOME to join us for any and all services. Come explore, be inspired, and give glory and gratitude to God!

The Lesson-Sermon heard at the Sunday worship service includes selections from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (see Home Page). Bible passages are amplified and explained by explanatory passages from Science and Health. The message in these books is relevant to every age and culture. The Weekly Bible Lessons provide fresh inspiration each week to thousands around the world. They transcend human opinion, are based on divine law, and ring with spiritual authority.

Childcare is provided Sunday and Wednesday

On Wednesday evening members of the congregation are invited to share their individual proofs of God’s power in their lives and insights they have had into spiritual truths based on the study of Christian Science. The meeting also includes Scriptural readings and correlative citations from the textbook, hymns, the Lord’s Prayer. No collection is ever taken at these Wednesday Evening meetings.
